Remarkably, the changes made, not only to the 18th but to the par 4 17th were virtually seamless less than a year later.

Another recent change saw the 16th hole re-routed but it remains one of the most charming holes of its type in these islands.

ACCOLADES for THE FARM COURSE, GREENSBORO CC

Golf Magazine said, "The renovation work transformed a tired 6,914-yard, par-71 layout into a 7,302-yard par-72 funfest.
Two new par 3s, the 5th and 14th; completely rebullt greens and bunkers; new zoysia grass fairways; and dramatic alterations to seven other holes have infused the farm with the kind of challenge and playability that can compete with any course in the region".

The North Carolina Golf Panel felt the changes had been so extensive that they warranted inclusion in their New Course category.
Their commendation read:
"Steel built five entirely new holes and did significant work on the other 13, including changes in routing and elevation.
The Farm led a diverse list of impressive new courses that were visited by the panelists in 2010".
